Tournament Summary

One day tournament

4 team - Round Robin Play

Teams seeded after Round Robing play

  • 1 seed vs 2 seed play for championship

Four - 50 minute games per team

Cost = $400/team

 

Tournament Rules

  • Three minute warm-up prior to each game.
  • Round robin games will be 10-10-12 minute stop-time but will not exceed the designated 50 minutes for the game.
  • All USA Hockey rules apply
  • No time-outs until the final game, in which both teams will get a 1 min. time-out
  • Penalties will be 1:30 for all games.
  • Final game will be played in its entirety.
  • If final is tied after regulation a 5 min 3 v 3 will be played. Any penalty during the 3 v 3 will automatically result in a penalty shot.
  • If final is tied after 3 v 3 a 3 person simutaneous shoot-out will be used to decide the champion.
  • If final is still tied each team will choose another player to shoot 1 at a time until one team prevails.
  • Every player must participate in the shoot out format before a player may be used for a second shot.
  • All referee's decisions are final and any decision by the tournament director is final.

Team Rank for Championship game will be determined by:

1. Most Points 2 for W, 1 for T, 0 for L
2. If two teams are tied then head-to-head record will break the tie.
3. If more than two teams are tied , or if two teams are still tied, the team with the least goals against wins the tie breaker.
4. If teams are still tied most periods won will break the tie.
5. If teams are still tied fewest penalty minutes will break the tie.
6. If teams are still tied a coin toss will break the tie.
